Today is my first day as a graphic design intern at Esente Music Group. The first thing that I was assigned to do as soon as I got here was browse through a few websites of Esente's companies and clients in order to educate myself about the company. The list included some anti-bullying websites, stop drunk driving websites, a couple young musicians who promote anti-bullying and preventing drunk driving, and a marketing website. It was interesting to learn more about the company and be exposed to some of its clients.
The next thing that I was asked to do was create two graphic design posters, one for anti-bullying and the other for the prevention of drunk driving. I decided to start with the drunk driving one, as I thought it would be easier. I started using Adobe Illustrator CS6 and though I am a bit rusty on using the software, after a while I got the hang of it and remembered how to use it. I am not quite finished with it yet, but I will most likely be done with it by the end of the day. I have not yet started the poster for anti-bullying, but if I finish the drunk driving one then I am hoping to start it soon.
I am really looking forward to working with graphics and making creative designs for a good cause. I'm excited to see how this internship will go and how much I am going to learn while I am here.
