Yes, day 3. The end of my first week here at Esente. Today was great because we got another big talk from Ron about social media and the importance that we know this stuff because it's how we're going to be able to sell ourselves to employers when we're in the job market. Again, I've been working on my posters against drink driving and bullying, and I got some feed back on my slogans so I have a new direction to go in. Ron says we have to be more creative, because we're producing now is trite and just frankly not that good. I mean, I'm not expecting to have anything good yet seeing as I've only spent three days on it, but hopefully I'll get something right.
The group work we did today— trying to think of ways we can use certain social media sites for different types of clients— was really great. I got to learn about more social media sites (because I actually understood about 2 before today) and brainstorm with a group. Bouncing ideas off of other people really helps me think, and I got to know a few of the people I'm interning with a little better than I knew them yesterday (which was not at all).
Back to work for me, I have a new direction to go.
