Short Week, Long Weekend

It's been a short week here at Esente due to the 4th of July. Leads were difficult today and I can say I am glad I will have a few days without them.  The lack of websites was a little frustrating but I managed to get through it and am hopefully onto the next project after lunch! Although it has been a short week we have gotten many things done this week especially including the 50 project.

Continuing from what I discussed yesterday about the 50 project, things are starting to come together.  The PR team worked hard on organizing the project to make sure that we got the information together in order to start collecting bully stories and bands from different states. We assigned ourselves states to collect these from and I have New Jersey, New Mexico, Nevada, New York, and Ohio. I have started trying to find some people that will have bullying stories that we can use and I have found a few for each state so right now things are looking good.  Soon we will be sending messages to these people to see if they would be interested in joining the 50 project and telling us their story.  I am nervous to start sending out e-mails to these contacts in fear that we will get no responses.  It is important to get responses so that this project can be successful.  I also feel responsible for it being successful because if I don't find the information for my states no one will and we won't get all 50 states which will defeat the purpose of this project to be nationwide.  I do have faith in this group of interns because when we sat down yesterday we shared a lot of ideas with each other and I could tell everyone is really smart and creative. I guess only time can tell if this project becomes a success but I really do think we can do it if we all work hard!

I'm going to need a coffee to get me through the rest of the day.  Good thing Dunkin' Donuts is right downstairs!

Have a great 4th,
Rebecca Miller
