Another Week

Another week here at Esente.  After missing a day last week due to my computer breaking, I'm back.  You forget what it's like to live without a computer when you don't have it for a few days.  But with my computer back in action I'm ready to get to work.

Last Wednesday the PR interns worked on finding out what types of social media would work best for different categories of companies.  I was assigned to Construction & Trade.  I never would have thought that businesses in Construction & Trade would have used social media.  However, when I began researching which sites would be best for these businesses I found that not only do these types of companies use common social media such as Facebook and Twitter, but they even have their own social media website specifically for construction news & businesses.

This activity made me think about how different businesses can use the Internet in order to help their businesses get their names out there and gain clients.  Many people are unaware of these different social media tools that can help a business.  This proves another reason that finding leads are important because there are many businesses that are owned by people that do not know about social media.  By finding leads and collecting information we can contact companies and help them make a better website and use social media effectively.
