Deadly Weapons

Today has been an informative day here at Esente.  Did you know that Esente means free in Italian? I didn't until today. Now I can finally inform my mom because she has asked me what it means multiple times. Not only did I learn that but I also learned another important life skill from Ron.  How to create a deadly weapon in 30 seconds or less with items that are always laying around.  Newspaper & Duct Tape. Now I can't ruin it and tell you how to create the weapon because what if one day you decide to attack me and know my secret weapon? So if you weren't here to learn you'll have to find out how to make it by yourself.  It is a pretty strong weapon and not even illegal so I am now ready to dislocate anyone's jaw.

On a work note we had a long discussion about a new project we will all be working on collectively as interns.  50. 50 states, 50 stories, 50 bands. A concert that would promote Becca Levy's anti-bullying campaign while explaining 50 bullying stories and putting on a show with 50 bands from each of the United States. I think that when this project comes together it will be really successful.  By working together with all the other interns I think that we can all make this event possible which Ron has said hasn't been easy to figure out in the past.  It has so many different parts to it including artwork, ads, finding the bands, finding the stories, and so many other elements.  I am excited to get started on this project today as I have been feeling really creative lately.

When I say I have been feeling creative I mean I have gone to AC Moore twice within 3 days to do different types of crafts.  I realized crafting is something I can do when I'm bored that actually has a really great outcome. I made this for my room at school.  I have to get a new comforter for next year because the bed is bigger than what I had Freshman and Sophomore year so this will be the inspiration for what I choose. I'm pretty into chevron lately and am considering this comforter because I think my canvas painting/letter thing will look great over a bed with this bedding.

Here is the bedding, I'm thinking the light blue one possibly or maybe the gray.

And this is my crafting...it may seem simple but painting that chevron is NOT easy. However it is easy to make material wise and comes out looking pretty professional if I do say so myself. Maybe not as good as if one of the graphic interns did it but I'm still satisfied.

That's all for today.  I think this may be my longest post I've ever written.
Talk to you tomorrow,
Rebecca Miller
