Yesterday I spent some time browsing Craigslist to check for any new job listings in the Art/Media/Design section. While looking through them I started to realize just how valuable this internship will be for me. Just about every listing wanted applicants to excel in several different skills, most not even relating to art, media, or design. I've applied to a lot of jobs through Craigslist (including this one) with pretty much zero response. It will be interesting to see if that changes when this internship is over and I actually have some worthwhile experiences on my resume.
I'm nearing the end of this media list that I have been working on for the state of Ohio. I'm working my way through radio stations and I'll soon be starting TV stations. The Radio stations have been pretty easy to get through because most of the stations are owned by a larger company such as ClearChannel or I<3Radio so they all have the same contact info as far as advertising and GM positions. March 1st is the deadline for these media lists and soon after that we will be getting ready to really start the One Night Stand anti-bullying campaign. I'm really interested in seeing just how things will unfold once we start firing on all cylinders. We have been gathering information and talking about marketing strategies for so long and I'm ready to see how it all works out.
