Wednesday is always a day I look forward to, after Thursday of course, because I am almost to the weekend which will be filled with celebration. As of yesterday, a concert production company hired my artist collective titled Theives Grotto to finalize the booking for a huge spring show taking place at Mass Art in about two weeks. The event is a 12 hour all day festival featuring local and national acts of all genres and styles that is a highlight of the year for most Mass Art students. Theives Grotto Collective will be given a budget to pay bigger national acts and also a going pay rate for our time and effort. This is not the first time we have booked a significant show, but certainly the first time we have been officially hired and compensated for our skills by a real production company. Now has come the time to put all my event coordination experience learned in and outside of Esente to serious use and see the outcome. This will be an invaluable learning experience and one where all my skills working with music events will need to be put to work.
