The last day of the work week has brought about new projects I am excited to get moving on. The interns and I have been assigned to start collecting potential bands to play at our One Night Stands events coming up later this year. We have been researching many different bands in the Tampa Florida area to find contact information to use later when request emails are to be sent. This has been an interesting process so far because I have been finding interesting sounds and images from many different artists. I can picture certain bands attending these events and gaining experience and promotional value from playing at our upcoming events. This is the first big step in organizing these events. Without the bands, there is no event. The selection process has been broken down by genre, and also size of the artist's fanbase. At this point, we are mostly scanning for bands with around 100 to 1,000 fans, for this is the most likely size of bands that will be interested in an event of this nature.
As this project makes progress, more updates will follow.
