Today was another nontraditional day at the Esente office.
With Becca still up from Washington, D.C. we are working to get many tasks
accomplished, in the short time she is available. Yesterday, some of the
interns were working to help generate ideas for a video. Today in the office we
all talked about some of the problems with the video shoot and what solutions
could be used to fix these problems. Some of the problems they encountered
included lighting, background noise and the background setting. Today it was
decided to try shooting the video in another location, in hopes of mending
several problems that came up.
Shortly after I walked in this morning, the interns and Ron
sat down to watch the video that Valeria has been working so hard on for
several weeks. We watched the video still by still to see what changes could be
made to improve an already incredible video. In order to make the most
effective promotional video as possible, we brainstormed some things that could
be removed and some items that could be added to heighten the emotional
response of the viewers.
During another short meeting we had, Ron mentioned, “building
the bridge.” What I got from this was that you couldn’t move forward across the
bridge until the parts are all there. Essentially you need to take a step back
and see exactly where you are before assembling the other parts in order to
build the bridge. This theoretical bridge we are talking about here, is more a
bridge of start to finish. From the beginning stages of a project to the foreseeable
completion of said project. These bridges will ultimately allow an increase of
prospects, thus achieving a greater sense of connectivity and opportunities for
Becca. Several bridges are currently underway as we progress more into the
internship, which only provides Becca a better chance of spreading her message.
