Last Day

A true graphic designer processed an idea and / or concept and communicate visually. You must also possess the knowledge to develop a work that can be interpreted easily by the public. In turn you must know the visual environment and analyze the market and aim to communicate, to deliver quality work in compliance with customer expectations. Graphic designer's work covers broad spectrum, ranging from select, organize, prioritize, interpret, structure and decode the information and translate it to bring in a creative, innovative and original. Visual communication should be shocking and grab the attention of the viewer.

A good graphic designer seeks to convey the essential ideas of the message clearly and directly, using for this different graphic elements that will shape the message and make it easily understood by the recipients thereof.

As designers we are like to put our hands we love to direct the operation, the need to solve problem and start creating is our passion, for something we are dedicated to this, but it is often necessary to set aside the project of today and start thinking about the future, analyzing where we are and see where we are going.

Planning and goal achievement

This requires thinking to where we want to go, which is what we want to achieve, and in this way we can trace the path to achieve it, this is very important to visualize, transform those dreams into activities and activities into goals.

Through goals we can have a clear objective we want to achieve, whether it be the best illustrator, break into to some branch of design, achieving that position you've always dreamed of or creating a new product, the goals are personal and go hand in hand with your personality, which is why it is very important to be clear at all times where you're getting at

Graphic Design

Recently I have been trying to learn 3D modeling with Zbrush I thought it was a skill I should have give that in today's market is not enough to know how to use all of adobe suite you also have to have programming knowledge, 3D animation and photographic skills soon enough 4 years of college won't be enough to know all that, I am beginning to wonder if the nature of graphic design have change already or if it is just ignorance from  people that hire us.  I am definitely done with Massachusetts cover and now on to Connecticut. I will start first with research some first sketches to work on the composition  the gather images for the graphics and last the color I expect to be  done by tomorrow.

Last Day

I'm the last intern left, and I'm not really sure what to say at this point. I feel like I'd just be reiterating what I said in yesterday's blog. After lunch I'm going to do my best to finish my animation. If I don't I'll finish it at home and email it in, but I'd like to get it done today. I'm not really sure who Ron wants to do the voiceover so I guess I was always going to do the final version after my internship was over anyway. As long as the animation parts are done though it's fine.

Seems like I'm the only intern left today. My last day here is tomorrow, and it's been a pretty good summer here. I've enjoyed it and I'm proud of the projects I've been able to work on here. I think I definitely improved as an artist, and gained some perspective on the business side of things. If anything this internship has helped prepare me for employment.

Last Day

Today is my last day at Esente! I am feeling pretty sad about it so I've been listening to a lot of upbeat music to brighten my mood. I started the morning collecting leads for the list that I started yesterday, which was Autos for Springfield, MA. It had over 20 pages on Merchant Circle and I got to page 19 so it's a bit annoying that I couldn't finish it in time, but I guess not the end of the world. It's weird to think that this is going to be my last time blogging and collecting leads as an intern here.
After lunch I'm going to check a website that Amanda asked me to proofread/check to make sure there are no mistakes/that everything is working before the site goes live. Once I finish doing that I'm probably going to work on editing the photos of faces for Ron's "face the facts" of bullying commercial idea. Last week I collected a ton of bullying statistics from the stop bullying now website and I just have to start pasting them onto the foreheads of the faces that I found. That should take a while so it's probably going to be the last thing that I complete here! So strange.

CD Cover

Massachusetts CD is going along well I have a good first sketch all the images I will need the only thing I am unsure is the color scheme that I could use but that's the last part of the project so I'm not too worried about it right now. I have come to thinks that doing project in which you have some emotional investment on it tend to cloud your mind, one self tends to idealized too much what we love instead of looking at it in a objective way if you want to create something meaningful you are going to have to take a step back and go back in with a new perspective detached from any idealized imagery, I know it sounds cold however it is very effective and some what rewarding when you are able to look into your self and see clearly what's affecting you.

CD Cover

I'm almost done with the Massachusetts CD the only problem is the colors I wanted to use doe's really match with the mood of Mass state so I'm thinking of instead of trying color endlessly I could just go back to square one and begin anew maybe it will be better if I do several versions and pick the most successful one. After Mass. My next target is Connecticut which surprisingly is one of the most expensive state to live in behind NYC and LA I know nothing of Connecticut so research should very informative.

Nearing the End

Today is my second to last day at Esente. It's definitely bittersweet knowing that tomorrow will be my last day. I have learned a lot and have met a lot of really cool people here, but I am ready to go back to school for my senior year. Since I don't study graphic design at school, being a graphic design intern here has really motivated me to start working more on graphics and to try and learn as much about it as I possibly can.
On Tuesday Becca Levy was here and towards the end of the day I had the chance to watch as she practiced a speech regarding bullying which was later filmed. It was cool to do something new and different and to really see how everything was pulled together. It was also cool meeting her in person since I've heard and read so much about her since she is basically a celebrity for the company. I wish I could have done more things like this all summer, but I'm happy I got to have at least a taste of filming by the end.

day 29 of this so called Fremtiden

Danish is very close to Norwegian (the Norwegian word for Future is Fremtidige). And to make up for yesterday, the Portuguese word for Future is Futuro (same as Italian and Spanish).

Yesterday I didn't post because I was out shooting behind the scenes photos at the filming of Becca's music video. The locations we went to were all very graphic and looked cool in the photographs. It was nice to be able to go outside on a such a nice day, and it was cool seeing how they went about shooting the video and getting all the footage they would need.

When we got back to the office, I edited some of the pictures I'd taken (about 40 out of two hundred something), which came out really good.

This morning I came in later than usual because tonight I'll be doing shooting more behind the scenes photos for Becca's jamspot videos, so I'll be out late.

Today's also my last day here at Esente, and I have to say it was a great summer. I learned a lot, experienced so many new things, and had tons of fun in my 29 days here.

I guess it's time to start that future thing, though.

Last Day at Esente

Today was the last day of my internship here at Esente Music group. It has been a great ride and I ended the summer by going out for a video shoot. Our client Becca Levy is still here and we filmed a video for one of her cover songs. The process was pretty repetitive but still really fun. We went to several outdoor locations for the filming including a cemetery, skate park, under a bridge, and near a river. I was in charge of starting the playback so that Becca could lip sync to the recording.

The crew consisted of two videographers, one makeup artist, one photographer, and several interns to help out. I can tell the video will be awesome when it is done, they got some really good takes. The song that she was singing is going to be stuck in my head for days because I heard it more than 20 times today. Overall it was a fun experience and I feel like I have a better idea of how videos are shot now.

For all of the other interns here at Esente, I wish you all the best of luck going back to school and work and whatnot. You guys made this summer a lot better than I thought it would be. I'll definitely keep in touch with everyone that I can and hopefully I see everyone again at some point. Have a great end of the summer!

CD cover

Mass. cd cover. of all the states I had done this will be probably the most easy to do maybe I can even use my own pictures. For composition I am going to follow the same pattern as the other just so all of them can relate to each other  bit more, the biggest problem will be to find the right color to represent the mood of the state. My first thought was of neutrals colors like greens and orange of course a lot of things can change in the sketching part trying to determinate what is better, what works and what not I would hate to finish a work in its entirely only to find out that I'm not satisfied with anything I did.

The Last Day Cometh'

Welp, like all good endings the hero finally finishes his quest and gets to live his fateful dream to ride away into the sunset and live happily ever after. Unless you're watching Game Of Thrones then your dreams are just brutally slaughtered along with your favorite character.

I did leads today got 74, a nice way to end the season.

My time here at Esente has been great. I've had some laughs, learned a lot, and overall just had a good experience. The employees here were really friendly they even put up with my awful jokes. Met a bunch of other interns that in general were just cool people, hopefully we'll see each other later in life it'd be nice to catch up on old times a few years from now. For the most part I generally was doing something new each day, whether it was taking something new by mself or working in a team to solve a problem. I'd recommend this internship for anybody looking to get a start in the business or music world. You won't regret the choice, plus as a bonus Beverly has some of the best food i've had in a long time. They're all locally owned and the quality of the food shows.

Well  there's not much I can say really, if anyones reading this check out this internship, check out the food in the area, and check out a book for self because the Great and Almighty Reading Rainbow says "Knowledge is Power."

This is Peter Sliva for the Last time signing off,
You stay classy Beverly.

Last blog of the summer

Today is Wednesday...HUUMP DAYYY! (That never gets old!) Anyway, today is my last day as an intern at Esente Music Group, and this my last blog.  Today I was a leads Ninja! Despite some email set backs, I managed to research 40 businesses in Framingham, MA under Healthcare.  This is pretty impressive considering today I am a sniffling mess, thank you allergies!

Today Carolina and I ran a last minute curling iron related errand for the Becca Llevy shoot today.  The rest of the day, I will update the blog for the final time, which is bittersweet as it has become part of my weekly routine.

Reflecting on the summer, I am sad to leave the internship, the other interns and the other employees of Esente, it was a memorable summer to say the least.  I have learned PR experience as well as internet research, and have made some great connections which might prove helpful in the future.  I will miss the internship, however I will NOT miss the commute, it was tough! Well back to the real world of College and such.  I am leaving this internship with a lot of experience and memories.

Last Week

Today marks the first day of my last day here at Esente. I have learned a lot interning here this summer and I'm going to miss it. Once today is done, I only have 2 days left. I'm ready for summer to end and am excited to move back to Boston and start my senior year at school. Since I studied abroad last semester, I haven't seen many of my friends at school since December, so I am very excited to see them all.
I have been collecting leads all morning for Building and Construction businesses in Framingham, and when Manta decided to stop working I started collecting leads for Retail Shopping businesses in Weymouth. I collected a total of 50, which is a little below average but we had a late start with leads this morning so I guess it all evens out. After lunch I will probably be working more on the commercial idea that Ron told us about last week. I started collecting pictures of faces that had visible foreheads that we could then later place bullying statistics on top of, as a way to show the viewers to "face the facts of bullying." I collected about 12 good photos so I think that should be enough for now. I also started collecting a bunch of bullying statistics that I found in a bunch of the stop bullying now videos and website. I'll probably start to edit the photos and put them all into black and white and start adding the statistics onto the foreheads later today so that they can all be more unified. I'm excited to be working on something that will be used in a commercial! It's nice to be working on something different than what I have been doing all summer.

Second to last day

Second to last blog entry today and its sort of sad knowing its all gonna end soon. But I started late today because my school was trying to charge me 3 thousand dollars I already paid. So today I recored my lowest ever lead score 14. It hurts just to type it. It's not the lowest score all time score but its definitely the most disappointing to me even if I only did have twenty minutes to collect.

Anyways Becca Levy's here today again she's recording some new material, so it'll be interesting to see how that sort of creative process goes. After that I'll just continue to polish up the 50 work that hasn't been touched yet.

Last Tuesday

Today is my last Tuesday as an intern, and of course Manta crashes...what else is new! Other than that lead research has gone well today, I focused on Framingham, MA collecting furnishings, healthcare, and computer software.

Today is the last day I will update the blog, got to make it a good last one!

Tomorrow is my last day at the internship, going to miss the experience and the people who have shared the experience with me.

day 27 of this so called Mustaqbal

Somali today. Apparently it's an Afro-Asiatic language, but I've never heard it that I know of.

So last week I worked on the 50 project album covers, and I found some pictures I've taken in the past few years that would make cool covers. I'm excited to work through those some more this afternoon and see what I can come up with.

This morning it was back to leads, and of course manta went down again, but I didn't do too badly. And I somehow managed stay awake the whole time. I think it was easy because I was getting really into the music I was listening to and being dancing along in my head.

Becca's in today to do some shooting upstairs, but I'm excited for Thursday. I'm going to be at the shoot on Thursday doing what I did last Monday, which was taking behind-the-scenes shots. It's sad though, because Thursday will also be my last day here at Esente.

My internship will be ending soon, though it seems like I'm one of the last ones to leave. A lot of people have left already, and it's pretty weirdly empty right now. It's been a pretty good experience this summer, and I feel like I learned a lot here.

As for my work, it might take a few all-nighters, but I plan to finish the animation I'm working on by Friday so that I won't be rushing to finish it on my last day (the 20th).

Last Week

Hi ya'll its my last week here at Esente but that didn't stop the leads. This morning I collected market information on the auto industry in Weymouth Massachusetts.  I collected 59 items total today.

Today our client Becca Levy is coming in, she is in the Boston area to record some songs. I look forward to meeting her and seeing the person i've heard so much about. For my work later today, I will probably start to polish up the 50 work in the google doc we created. And it a few interns last day so I'm sure we will celebrate their departure.

3 More Days

The last week of my internship at Esente Music group is finally here. This morning I collected contact information from companies in Weymouth and Framingham. My lead count was 55 and my luck on Manta today was about average.

Our client Becca Levy is in town this week for video shoots, recordings and photo shoots. I'm guessing Ron doesn't want too many people going on the shoots so hopefully I am able to go on Wednesday. Becca and Ron haven't been in the office yet but they are expected to be here at some point today.

I am really excited for tonight because I am going to see Black Sabbath at the Comcast Center! I am leaving a little early today since the show is far away and I have to go back to Haverhill first. A few of the other interns are leaving today and this really is the week that almost everyone is leaving. Good luck to everyone who is leaving, I had a great time this summer meeting you guys.

nostalgia towards leads...say whaaa???

Today is Monday, the start of my last week as an Esente intern.

Last week was very cool because Jayna Liniger was in the office taping promotional videos for her drunk driving project, as well as having photo shoots.  It was awesome meeting the infamous Jayna, as she is a big part of the company, and her voice is amazing!

Today I believe Becca Levy will be in the office, another major singer of the company, and I can not wait to meet her. Some of the other interns met her the  last time she was up for work, of course it wasn't one of my days, I was so annoyed! These two girls are basically the faces of the anti-bullying and drunk driving campaigns, and since I have been working on them, it is awesome to see the stars!

Leads were almost nostalgic today, because I am realizing how doing this research all summer has really changed me! Without realizing it I am automatically looking for contact info on websites while searching Pinterest hunting...the work place has trickled into my DIY!!!  This summer has taught me how to copy and paste and search info for companies...like a PRO! I remember my first day where it took me FOREVER to do just one lead, now I have tabs on tabs on tabs!

Tomorrow is Tuesday, which means updating the buzz blog, but who knows what else!

Last Day

It’s my last day! I can’t believe my internship is over already. I learned a lot of different things. I wrote blog ports for many kinds of business, I conducted e-mail marketing and Internet marketing research, I collaborated with artists, I maintained social media accounts for various businesses and musical artists. I went on a sales call and to a studio recording and photo shoot. I also contributed to a nationwide anti-bullying project.

This experience has been so valuable because of the diversity of what I’ve learned. Esente allowed me to work within the world of music and OnPoint introduced me to that of web design and marketing. Since OnPoint works with so many different types of companies, I was able to market for everything from an orthopedics office to a dance academy.

I will always be grateful for what I have learned here. I wish everyone the absolute best!

Second to Last Week

This week is my second to last week at Esente, meaning that next week will be my last one here as an intern. I've really enjoyed working here thus far and I am going to miss it. Since I don't study graphic design at school, I'm going to miss designing things on a daily basis. Parts of me wish that I had at least minored in graphic design or some other field of art, but I really do like what I'm studying and I can always go to grad school for art. I do take art classes at my school but graphic design isn't offered at my school, which is a bummer. Most of what I do in graphic design I mostly just teach myself, which is fun yet limiting.
This morning has been filled with collecting leads, as usual. I collected a total of 50 which is a little below average but my lists were filled with businesses that had no website so a low lead number is to be expected. About an hour ago Ron discussed what he wanted all of the interns to help him with after lunch. He wants us to help him with a few commercial ideas for the anti-bullying campaign with Becca Levy. I'm excited to help out because I like coming up with creative ideas for things like this, so it should be a nice change from what I usually do in the afternoon. Yesterday I finished a few CD covers for the Seattle Rockers Against Bullying 50 Project. These are two ideas I came up with:

Washington DC cover

Almost done with the other version of the Washington DC cover I like  both of them  I have not favorite there's not that much difference other than the way both were made. The first version is more photographic collage, the second is more painterly almost entirely done with photoshop brushes and transparencies just like I would have done in reality with oils on canvas. they make look similar but I think both version will appeal different to people depending on heir own sensibilities.

ending on a good note

Today was my first day back but also sadly my final day here at Esente.
I researched companies of business and other related matters in Fitchburg Ma. As I was researching I found several interesting designs for logos and screenshot them for a perhaps later project of my own where I can integrate some of the elements of the logos or make some of my own using the interesting colors. If always fascinates me to see what businesses use for their logos. A lot of them abbrieviate their company name to just the first letters of the name or one sigular letter. However they do it, the logo is bold and stands out and because of that I put it into a folder I have of logos and designs I found whenever I am working or mindlessly searching the web. These designs then pose inspiration for the work i create. I often now am reminded of the meeting we had a few short weeks ago when Ron told us that not many artists have been creating new stuff. I now find this true. I find myself "copying" a lot. However I do try my best to create a design that is of my own so I do not run into copy right issues.

Throughout this entire summer, working here has been a real treat. I had the pleasure to work with several artists and creative minds. Not to mention the work that I was able to be a part of. I am proud of what I have done this summer here at Esente Music Group. I will take all that I have learned in my future and apply it to future endeavors

Hopeless Wanderer

I am so tired this morning, even more so than usual. I arrived a little early to the office and immediately started collecting leads. Today I collected leads for businesses in West Bridgewater, using the website Manta. I prefer Manta over Merchant Circle, so I was happy when I found out it was with Manta instead of the alternative. I went relatively quickly today, and ended up collecting a total of 64 leads.
After lunch I'm probably going to continue working on CD covers for the 50 Project. I like making CD covers, and hopefully I can come up with some new and original ideas that will work well with the project.
I am so happy that tomorrow is Friday. This weekend I'm going camping with my friends and that should be really fun. I haven't been camping in a very long time so that should be interesting to say the least. This week is my second to last week working here, which is definitely bittersweet. I have really enjoyed interning here this summer and I have learned a lot about a plethora of different things, but I am definitely ready to be back in Boston and be back at school for my senior year. Since I studied abroad in Rome this past semester, I haven't lived at my school in over 6 months and I'm excited to see all my friends and be back in school mode. Though I do love summer (obviously), I'm ready for fall!
A few days ago I discovered this hilarious mock-music video of the song "Hopeless Wanderer" by one of my favorite bands, Mumford & Sons. It stars some of my favorite actors/comedians and is just too good not to share:

Hopeless Wanderer - Mumford & Sons

Virginia cd

So I finished the Virginia cover the color are a bit different than I had in mind but I think that at the end it all worked out just fine. For the Washington dc I have two variations of the same design I like the painting, it looks very organic, painterly and I think other would appreciate the art but I think the photographic collage would work just fine and with less time put into it which will free me  to work on something else. Time management is very important, this is something one must learn in the graphic design world  being more efficient with your time can give you more time to perfect your design as oppose doing a rush job that may or may not work out

day 26 of ths so called Przyszłość

Polish usually sounds cool, but I see no resemblance between the sound of the language and how it's written.

Yesterday I worked on the 50 project again, but I was having trouble with inspiration. I doodled a lot to get the juices going and looked through different abstract designs and album designs on dribbble.com. I actually did half-make about six new designs, but I don't think many of them could actually be completed or used for anything. Getting through ideas is how I find the good ones, though, so I'll keep at it.

Back to leads this morning, as per usual. It went really well today; I continued on the third list I got yesterday and haven't even finished yet, but it has a ton of actual leads. I collected more today that usual, anyway.

Almost to the weekend!

Hump Daaaaay

Today is Wednesday and leads are going a bit slow today again due to a website being slow.  Yesterday the interns who were not at the photo shoot dabbled in some writing.  This was interesting because most of the interns doing the writing were the graphic interns! A little flip of the roles, it was interesting to see the kinds of articles the PR interns do much of the day.

Today is my last day for the week, and next week is my last.  I am sad to leave the internship, and the other interns, however school, and other responsibilities call.

Glamah

The past two days have been crazy! On Monday Rebecca, Carolina, and I went with the team to a studio in Wakefield where Jayna Lininger recorded six songs. She did three takes of each song but didn’t even need three, she did so well on every one. There was a make-up artist, a photographer, and a producer present, in addition to the Esente team.

Jayna wore the same pants the whole time but changed her top/jewelry/makeup after every song, creating six unique looks because the footage only showed her from the waist up. It was awesome to be a part of the process and to really understand what goes into a hot mic session. I was so impressed by Jayna’s voice, too. I have heard her songs of course but nothing compares to live music and the songs suited her really well. I felt like I was at a country concert.

Yesterday we left around 11 o’clock to head out to Clinton, MA for a photo shoot. The location was a crazy old warehouse with tons of rooms, each with a set of props made up to look like a specific scene. We were in a pretty plain room that looked like a standard warehouse photo shoot room but the team worked with huge rolls of covered paper, backdrops, and lights to make lots of different, interesting shots. We also traveled around the building, shooting in many different locations.

At one point the other interns and I checked out the upstairs. The floor was divided into two sections. One side was a gigantic room filled with abandoned broken and dirty props. It was fascinating but really creepy. The other half was a fully equipped boxing gym! It had two full size rings and tons of boxing materials. Even though it felt a little bit like an insane asylum, the location was fascinating. We moved through the shoot quickly and efficiently and wrapped around 5 o’clock. I’m only here a couple more days and this week feels like the perfect finale.

Have an awesome day!
