Design Mondays

It just so happens that Mondays at Esente we find all the graphic interns together working. The PR interns mainly come in on the other weekdays, so Mondays turn into design days!  Today we focused on designing covers for the upcoming set of CD's we'll be making. As the first 12 Pack of Life project moves into the funding stage, we start looking forward towards the next edition, which will focus on a new location set but will remain centered on the country music genre. The general idea when designing these album covers was to bring out the essence of the state while keeping the content simple and eye-catching.

After working on these for awhile we joined together to critique each others designs and provide feedback for each other. The atmosphere of teamwork and camaraderie is something that really provides a creative boost to our designs and I think, in the long run, we'll improve all of our quality and efficiency.

Tomorrow we will be attempting to assist the OnPoint team with some miniature logo designs for a future project. This will be a prime example of professional designer responsibilities, as we will be given only a small window of time to show our skills and complete the design. I'm looking forward to this experience as it will test my skills with illustrator.

To infinity and beyond! And by beyond I mean tomorrow!
