Mama mia! That's a spicy press release...

For the last day of this week, the interns and I worked on shoring up our PR efforts for the 12 Pack project. One of the first things we did was to do an in-depth search of the web for any papers or circulars that published our press release. We were in luck that we found it on a good deal of websites and in papers! The next step was to write short, but appreciative thank you letters to those papers, in an effort to maintain a good relationship with them for future use. We were lucky in that 1 of the papers we spoke to is interested in some follow up questions later on in the project. That is something I will most certainly keep in the back of my mind for future reference.

The other major project of the day was one of some tedium, but of incredible importance. We were tasked with collecting and organizing all the media that participating bands had emailed to us over the past month or so. As there are 12 states, and there were only 5 interns today, we each had to take a few states and just buckle down to get it done. Although it was a labor intensive project, in the end we were able to get everything packaged up neat and tidy which will be very important when we need to access this media quickly later on!

Overall a good exercise in project management and PR tactics today, hopefully with many more to come.

Buon Dia and see you all later!
