(Insert clever title here)-Part 10
Thursday, wow where did you come from? If you would have asked me what day it was today I would'a said Wednesday, which just goes to show how much I know. I liked this workweek a lot it was nice ease back into the old bump-n-grind routine. Yesterday Ron assigned me and a couple of different interns to a research assignment for one his clients. It was a really interactive for us because Ron basically said "This is the problem, tell me why it's happening and give a process that can fix this, and give me the research in an hour." So it was the first time we've really had real deadline time constraint on an assignment, but, we did just fine and Ron liked the work. It was interesting to work in a group dynamic like that. I think I could used to working like that. Other than that I guess I can look forward to weekend. Maybe a nice long walk on the beach. If it doesn't rain here, it always rains here, please don't rain here.
day 9 of this so called Gaba
So Gaba is the Hausa word for future. I have never heard of Hausa, so I had to look it up and it's "the Chadic language" (or Afro-Asiatic) that is spoken by the most people. Either way, the word gaba kind of tickles my brain when I say it, and it also reminds me of Yo Gaba Gaba. I don't even know if that's how that thing is spelt or what exactly it is, but I believe it may be another one of those fairly new creepy children's TV Shows that I've never seen.
Back onto the topic that I haven't actually started yet but is more relevant than the Hausa language, I did research for Ron yesterday afternoon. Off topic: I wish there were another way to phrase or say "yesterday afternoon" because I don't enjoy that phrase's existence in all of my posts. Back on topic (that I have now officially started), the research I did was with three other people, and we were looking up problems that businesses—specifically restaurants— have when they start up on a social media sites— specifically facebook, and some solutions to these problems. I learned something new about facebook, too. There's this thing called egderank now that facebook uses to decide whether or not someone is going to see a post you make. Edgerank basically depends on how much a person interacts with your page, how much people have interacted with your post, and what types of interaction have occurred with the post. It was pretty interesting to read about.
After doing that research, I worked some more on my cd covers and after today I'll have finished 1 or 2 good ones (to give you an idea of what my work method is with design, I've designed about 14 covers and only about 7 of them are actually completed to an acceptable extent).
Today, leads yet again. I'm around the same place that I have been for the past two days, so if this pattern continues, next week I'll double my average! Although I truly doubt that, because I think I'm going pretty quickly right now. Maybe I'll bring them up by 50%.

Summertime and the livin' 's easy
First day of summer is tomorrow. I've only been waiting for this day for 364 days now. I might actually get to enjoy it outside if the weather holds up.
Writing these blogs everyday is proving to be quite difficult for me. I never know what to write and it usually takes me the half hour we have to do this to write barely 2 paragraphs. My creativity is limited and my writing ability is adequate at best.
I know I mentioned it before in yesterday's post, but I'm really considering a haircut soon, whether I can afford it or not. As each day passes, my hair looks more and more mullet-esque which is making me feel like a redneck hillbilly. There isnothing wrong everything wrong with looking like a redneck hillbilly.
My leads numbers suck today. I blame the Manta list I was working on for the first half. Only about 10% of the leads on there were good, the rest were duds.
I've been listening to Borgore for the past 2 hours and I think my brain may have melted in the process. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the work of Borgore, see below...

Day Two
It's my second day at Esente, and I've already forgotten to bring the pen for my tablet. So far I've been able to make do with the touchpad in Illustrator CS6, but it's a bit awkward. I've made some headway in one design, but the absence of my pen has made progress incredibly slow. I guess I'll have to make up for it at home. There are a lot of things I have to teach myself about Illustrator as well.

Bruins series tied
Last night the Bruins lost another exciting game in overtime to the Blackhawks. The score was a whopping 6-5 because both offenses were on fire. I am not worried about the Bruins yet but if they lose the next game then I will be a little scared. They will be back in Chicago on Saturday and I hope I can watch it even though I am playing a private party with Tall Boys.
I am looking forward to this weekend since I am going to two cookouts and playing one show. My cousin Theresa is having a family get-together at her house on Saturday and the food is always great over there. My long-time friend Dan is also having his college graduation party on Sunday so it will be a nice gathering of friends. The private party is in Amesbury which is only a few miles from Haverhill so I'm looking forward to that as well. I am hoping that as the band we will get free food and drinks!
Today much to my surprise I collected leads again. I can't say much about them cause they are always the same. I listened to some classic tunes including some Kiss, The Police, Van Halen, and AC/DC. Apparently it was a classic rock morning.
Yesterday I sent an email to Amanda containing all of the websites, information and ideas that I collected from my fellow interns for the company's music marketing website. I have a good feeling about that website and I am hopeful that we can get plenty of clients that fit Ron's demographic. You stay classy Esente interns!

Vacation Mode
I don't have much to update at the moment. I was away yesterday and haven't really done much with my projects and I'm totally in vacation mode. I plan on going away to Provincetown for the weekend so my motivation to do actual work at the moment is pretty low. It's a much needed break. Between two jobs and this internship, I've been working nonstop for the past two months or so.
I do have some exciting news, they're giving me an opportunity to work on a Becca Levy music video doing some 3D work. I have modeling and animation experience but rigging is still kind of new to me. It's more of a computer engineer thing but since we don't have any on hand, I'm going to give it a go. This will correlate more to my future goal of someday taking part in creating video games than the posters we've been working on. This is kind of a big project for me so wish me luck.

Second day
Today is my second day here at Esente Music Group. Today I am working on leads. I am searching through different databases and collecting good leads. Finding leads isn't the most fun task I have ever had to do but I understand the benefit of learning to do this. I am not sure of what else I will be doing today. I do know that I cannot forget to put money in the meter. I got a ticket last time. With that being said, until next time.
