Today, the interns worked together to brainstorm ideas for the craigslist ad. As a group, we came up with a lot of good ideas that we'll hopefully be able to use. After lunch, I called one of the artists managers to clear up any questions she had. Working with the new interns was great and helped me get a new perspective on lots of the projects we've been working on. Tomorrow, we're set to finish writing the first press release.

First Day!
Today I'm the newbie, which has not been as nerve-racking as it sounds! Everyone is welcoming and has introduced me to the project. Besides it being a cool project, the group has involved me in all the ideas and tasks they, well now us, are trying to accomplish. As I witnessed today, it has been difficult trying to reach out to bands but the project is still coming along well. Hence, thus far, it has been a good first day! I'm excited to see what the future holds!

First Day on the Job
Today was my first day as an intern at Esente Music Group. I was introduced to all of the other interns here and sat in on my first meeting with Ron and the rest of the team. We created some craigslist ads to advertise to multiple cities and states, and the other interns showed me the ropes to exactly what it is that we will be doing for the rest of the summer. The first day was good, and I look forward to the rest of my summer here at Esente.

Intern Life
Today at Esente we came up with several ideas for the new craigslist ad. We will be reaching out to more bands to fill up our CD spots. As of right now we have about half of the projected total. We have developed different posters for each state/area and we hope to attract a lot more people using craigslist. Later in the day we all sat down to morally support Steve while he called a band manager who had questions about the project. A good day.

Look at those new faces, shining and full of hope (Ryan with banana for scale) |
Today 3 Broadway welcomed three new faces to our somewhat depleted ranks, and so far all three have assimilated to the group well. Stephen "Crantastic" Richards channeled his alter-ego "Mike" (who is actually one of our new interns, bringing on all sorts of confusion) and completed another phone appointment. We also began work on our Craigslist ad to try and attract more bands to our digital CD project. Keep on keepin' on folks

Starting up at Esente: A Design intern's viewpoint.
Today marks the first official day of my graphic design internship with Esente Music Group and we've already taken off running! My name is Mike Defelippo. I'm a graduate of the University of Miami (Go 'Canes!), with a bachelors in Music Business, and I'm currently getting my associates certificate in Graphic Design from Salem State University. Combining my previous knowledge and experience of the music business, with my newfound skills in graphic design, I'm really hoping I can bring a lot to the company, and prove my value to my colleagues.
At the beginning of the day I went ahead and finished up some designs for posters that had been assigned to me earlier, and then we began our meeting with Ron, the director. Being able to sit and round-table opinions, throw ideas around, and get creative with the other interns was a great experience, and it felt good to not be shackled by more traditional office atmospheres of desks, cubicles, and memos. During the meeting Ron got myself and the new interns up to speed on what's going on with the "12 Pack for Life" project" and then assigned all of us some tasks to complete for the day.
We are mainly responsible for the content creation of the project, as well as most of the front-end communication, so its a a big project, but with a good team, can be managed well. We worked together to brainstorm content for the upcoming craigslist ad were going to create to attract more bands, and then followed up with some current clients who are considering working with our project. I got to listen in on a call that one of my colleagues' had with one of the artist managers, and everything went smoothly. It was also an opportunity for me to see how the project really hashes out for each band.
Overall, I think the day went pretty smoothly and I'm looking forward to getting my hands onto this project fully. With the amount of work we have upcoming, I'm sure there'll be no shortage of things to do. So, here's to the future, and I'll check back in with you all later with some updates!

Back At It
I was away this weekend but already back in the groove of working. Today a few more interns have joined. It is good to have more interns to contribute and we are happy to have more on the team. We created some copy for the craigslist ad. As a group we were able to come up with many different titles, subheads, quotes and bullet points. We are creating a craigslist add to invite more bands to the project because we have a few extra spots.
