(Insert clever title here)-Part 6

If sleep is a commodity, demand is high and supply is low. I worked a basketball tournament in New York for a little extra dough, but didn't roll into always classy Beverly until like one in the morn. Seems like no matter how hard I try to get some shut eye the invisible hand keeps my total revenue of sleep ceteris paribus at six hours. But as aforementioned in "(Insert clever title here)-Part 3" god was merciful to us mere mortals when he bestowed upon the gift of caffeine. In other news Projects have started to spring up around the office. Things are getting a lot busier for everyone, and by my guess will continue to, until it plateaus in a couple weeks. But, I am enjoying it all. More information will be posted when I start doing work for my project.

Someone's phone keeps vibrating...

It's a beautiful day here in Beverly, MA. While I love the dreariness, I do think I prefer yesterday's sun, even considering the overbearing heat. Yesterday was great; I ran through the fountain at Prudential in Boston.
Having just been to church for the second time in my life, I was a bit overdressed for water play, but of course I dove in anyway. My friends and I ignored the "No Running" sign, and as a result Katie decked a three year old. What can I say? We're hardcore.

I'm a fan of these posters that the graphic design people are coming up with. These guys/girls are wizards.

Stay classy, Esente.

Hey guys, today has been the most interesting day of my internship so far. After doing leads for a few hours I was brought into Ron's office for a conference call. He was on the phone with a female artist from Pittsburgh talking about flying her down and scheduling her for recording sessions, photo shoots, and music videos. If I choose to I can be on the team that accompanies her during the recording sessions and shoots. This was the first music business endeavor that I've encountered and it was really exciting.

The leads I did today were for Tewksbury services and health. Leads were the same as always and I listened to the Fear of the Dark album by Iron Maiden as well as some of the Guns N' Roses album Use Your Illusion 1. I'm hoping I can do the photo shoots and whatnot because I'm sure they will be fun. My only concern is that I might have shows during those days since my July and August are really packed.

Rockin' Out Monkey

I'm basically continuing on what I started to do last week. I have rough sketches of two monkey's so far.

I just have one more monkey to go then I can get started with making them into vector art. The final monkey will also be a bullied monkey. I'm thinking duct tape over it's mouth with the word loser.

Listening in on Ron's meetings is amusing, yet educational (I'm not sure exactly what I've learned yet but I know I've gained some things). Isn't this the week when we "get real"? PR's shouldn't be getting all the action :P I really hope we get a first hand look at the recording, photo shoots, and music video production, and even better if we contribute to them. I'd probably be the happiest person on earth if I got to direct music videos and design album artwork for the rest of my life so I'm crossing my fingers real tight so I somehow score a significant part in this process. To be quite honest it's been three weeks and I've had enough of the separation of PR's and Graphic Designers, we should all collaborate more freely or at least be given more opportunities to dabble in each. Maybe I'm the only one that's being rubbed the wrong way because of my communication and writing background but I'm itching to do more than design posters. Don't get me wrong, I like that half my time spent here is on making art and working on my photoshop skills, I just (unfortunately) get bored very easy and need more variety. Speaking of posters, my creative well is running dry already on topics for drunk driving and bullying, does anyone that feels they don't have the creative ability themselves have any ideas floating around they'd like to see enacted? I'm all for swapping ideas, sometimes I do my best work when given more of a concrete subject.

Anywhoville, hope y'all had a good weekend. I already got tan in 2 days -_____- you guys just wait, after I start lifeguarding I'll be nice and crispy long before August... ugh. WEAR SUNSCREEN GUYS (I don't really have to but this guy says it's smart specially for you light skinned folks ----> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTJ7AzBIJoI&list=LL_9Hf7DQ6y1t4gk5IC_zjZw

WAIT NO I HAVE AN EXCITING STORY THAT I DOUBT ANYONE WILL READ
So I'm 18 and only recently got my driver's license so my parents are still wary of letting me use the only family car. Well sucks for them because last night I didn't sleep a wink and took it for a lovely joyride through Boston at 3am this morning. IT. WAS. FANTASTICAL. Smoking a cig on the hood of my car at 4:20 on Memorial Drive is pure bliss... especially in my pjs. With no one around on a sunday night/monday morning it didn't matter I wasn't wearing a bra or going 40 above the speed limit. So I'm on 0 hours of sleep, a can of rockstar and half a latte.... but doing well so far because that ride made my weekend.

New Day New Conquest...

Today I had a mission to get past twenty leads and I accomplished that. I'm not feeling to well but this job has a way of keeping you engaged in the work they do here at Esente Music Group. Its a tough gig but if you aren't a person who is committed to working hard or getting better at something your not good at then this isn't for you. If you thrive on becoming better then what you aren't at the moment do it because there isn't any better feeling then proving yourself wrong because you allow yourself to have more confidence in yourself. I have a great group of members I work with and also I have a drive about me that most people can't and will not understand and thats the fight in me. I may not be the fastest but I will be the first one in and the last one out you better believe it. I realize that you aren't going to like every job that you get in life its just a road bump to getting to something better. I look around and I see so many different characters in the office and all I can see and say is FAMILY. We are a team a unity and one goes down we all go down and I for one won't ever let that happen. I love the fact that we can all associate our lives with one another and I really am starting to enjoy this environment. After work I have my fiancee at home and I got a few suggestions for where to take her for our anniversary, what can I say I'm a romantic and hard working type or guy. Well thats all for today I'm gonna get some lunch catch you later Esente Members.

DUNH DUNH DUNNH...monday

Hey again,

Started my second week today as an intern, its a crappy monday too..bleh.  This weekend was awesome got to go to the aquarium with my boyfriend, my luck tho the penguins were 'on vacation' stupid.  Sunday I went to see Luke Bryan and Florida Georgia Line...which was awesome, minus the concert hangover I currently have.  Waking up this morning was....rough.  Bad case of the mondays, tired, rainy commute this morning but THANK GOD for Dunkies!  I was worried that because I was so slow this morning and tired, that my leads would be HORRIBLE today, but I still managed to hanker down and getter done!  Almost ready to print my first poster for crit, liking the concept but the colors are irking me a little.  Hopefully by the end of the day I will have put my poster up for comments and started on my next concept...fingers crossed.  Well, that's all about I have today, the concert hangover is inhibiting my already craptastic blog abilities.  Peace out until Wednesday.
